It's already been a while since I blogged something and so I just wanted to give an update on the company of Eridani Light Horse in the making. Fun fact: Their first battle will be for the Liaos! (lol) Reason is, they are green and so they fit to the Union colors for the 2nd day of our Gettysburg scenario, which we will play on 14th of July. The Eridanis will take the role of the US Sharpshooters, used on Little Round Top and around the Wheatfield.
But to put the scenario into a BattleTech lore setting, we picked the 4th Succession War, having the 5th Syrtis Fusiliers of House Davion attack the Liao world Sarna. I strongly suggest to read the battle report of the fist day, which we already played on the 29th of June and which ended with a victory for the Davion/Confed forces.
Back to topic:
According to the "no heavies and assaults" policy of the Light Horses, there's only one Ostroc with about 81 kph in the company. The rest are all mediums and lights. I picked a Hatchetman, because the Eridanis are working as elite mercenaries for the Federated Commonwealth, getting one of the early units, usually reserved for Lyran Guards. And they own one of the rare Wolfhounds, as a sign of cooperation with Steiner mercs as the Kell Hounds.
